Roads to Assos

How to get there:

- by ferryboat

By car from Istanbul:
1. South of Marmara:
From Kartal -or Darica-ferry to Yalova - on to Bursa - Balikesir - Edremit (E87) - Kuecuekkuyu - coastal road
(27 kms) to Assos

2. North of Marmara (fastest!):
Motorway to Tekirdag (E84) - at Kesan left to Canakkale (E87), but try the ferry at Gelibolu first! Both ferries, from Gelibolu to Lapseki and from Eceabat to Canakkale go every full hour. South on E87 - at Ayvacik on 17-51 the last 20 kms to Assos (see maps 1+2 and list1)

3. Ferryboat to Bandirma, on to Edremit and Kuecuekkuyu, coastal road (27km) to Assos

By car from Izmir:
E87 north to Edremit - Kuecuekkuyu - coastal road

By bus from Istanbul:
Busses leave every hour for Izmir. Hop off at Ayvacik, one hour south of Canakkale. From there regular dolmus to the village and harbour of Assos (map 2)

By bus from Izmir:
Hourly busses go to Canakkale. Hop off at Ayvacik, take the dolmus to the village and harbour of Assos (map 2)
